Happy January! Sometimes the beginning of the year feels like time slows down, but not this year! What about you? How has the beginnig of the year been for you?
Professional Update – My biggest news is launching a kickstarter for The Wandering Words!
If you’ve ever started a company, you know there are lots of moving pieces. AND lots of expenses. The funds raised from the kickstarter will help to ensure all the pieces are in place for a successful kickoff in May.
Do you have other reader friends? Please share the kickstarter with them! I’m praying for 50 new yearly subscribers by the end of the week. I know. That’s a lot, but God can do it!
I’m still working with my freelance clients as well and actively looking for one or two more to fill in a couple gaps. If you know someone who needs help with their email newsletters/campaigns, please send them my way. While I talk about authors the most, I’m working for a variety of of other people – real estate agents, small businesses, etc. There have been a lot of changes in the email/newsletter world in the last year and I’d love to help you navigate that world!
Writing Update – Not much has changed here. I’ve been working on short stories lately, so long form writing has slowed. I haven’t heard back from the agent, but that’s to be expected with the holidays. It’s also another reason why I feel The Wandering Words is needed! Not only is it introducing readers to new authors, it’s introducing authors like me to new readers and proving to publishers that we need certain genres! (Like Young Adult!)
This has been my prayer over the past few weeks as I dive into all things Wandering Words.
I know HE is able to do far better things than I can dream or imagine!
