Life Update

I thought I was finished with my novel and ready to send it back to the agent I’ve been speaking with, and in my final read through, I found some timing issues. Like, it’s not physically possible for things to happen the way I’ve written them. Sigh. So I’m still working on it. BUT my goal is to have it finished this week, so I can polish it up for the conference I’m attending. That’s right – I officially signed up and will be attending the ACFW national conference Sept 4-6. (Let me know if you’ll be there!) I’ve requested to meet with publishers, but there are no guarantees which ones I’ll be assigned. Say some prayers that I meet the right people, no matter who they are – publishers or other writers.

Professional Update

When I decided to go into “freelancer” mode last year, I had no idea what to expect. If I’m being honest, I still don’t know what to expect! I can tell you my days are full, and I have to struggle to find a balance between professional and personal writing. I’ve still got a ways to go! 

The good news is I’m still paying my bills and enjoying the flexibility of my schedule. I’m also working on a few projects behind the scenes that will help others. Lastly – I do have one BIG, crazy, wild project that I’m working on and I’m pretty excited about it. I know I’ve hinted at it, but I’m planning on sharing more next month! It’s going to be a fun ride if it all comes together!
